More Speak Ups for May 2 - I am not worried about guns in open view.

I am not worried about guns in open view. I am worried about the concealed nut cases carrying them.

Men with felonies looking for work: We are having trouble finding work. We are looking for jobs. Please give us a chance. We want to work.

Bring back the light at Northmoor Drive and Home Road.

Once again, we are letting drug traffickers off with probation.

The food stamp system allows us to buy almost anything in a grocery store, including anything from the bakery section. But I do think that it is ridiculous that I can buy junk food, but not vitamins. No Centrum, no Flintstones, but yes to Cheetos and Pepsi. And no to non-food items, which means no toilet paper or soap. But this is how the food stamp program is set up.

I would like to see Ronald Reagan's picture on the 50-dollar bill.

Schuler's Bakery is Springfield, Ohio. Congratulations on your expansion. Hope it goes well.

Some people think bringing businesses to Springfield means building bars. More bars mean a depressed area.

The animals should rise up and demand their rights. They have a right to be counted in the census.

Keep an eye on your children playing outside this summer.

Bring our troops home!

We have become the nation of red, white and blew it.

What is wrong with Springfield? We have had chances to help animals and kids in this community through the Pepsi Refresh programs and it doesn't cost us a cent. All we have to do is vote for our community projects every day to get them in the top picks. We need to find a better way to get this out there. The paper should help promote these and remind readers they can vote every day. Help is out there. We need to grab it and help our community.

The Dow Jones is now over 11,000 points. Thank you, President Obama.

Any company that says go to a website, please include a phone number so I can call. I do not have a computer.

Thanks to the 911 dispatchers!

We have to keep our government strong.

Re the florist expressing views: It is called freedom of speech.

Schneider's Florist does indeed have free speech rights to express its views, but I do not approve of doing so (right or left). Signs in front of a business should be used to promote the business as it advertises sales, etc.

The City of Springfield is doing a great job mowing lawns.

It is sad that people can throw their cigarette butts everywhere. It should be against the law.

It's really deceptive when a Tea Partier laments taxes in the United States, when they are at their lowest in more than 50 years. For any of them to suggest that 95 percent of Americans didn't get a tax cut in Obama's first year is just dead wrong.

Our 911 dispatchers should be recognized for a wonderful job!

Here the Republican Party goes again. Their "do-nothing" politics of limitations and why things can't be done should be kept from the growing minds of our children.
