There will be special blinds, one at each area, set up at Clark Lake and Spring Valley, for handicapped or youth hunters only. For information, call the Wildlife District 5 office at (937) 372-9261.
Applicants must appear in person at the drawings with proof of a 2009 Ohio hunting license, state wetlands stamp endorsement in the applicant’s name and a signed 2009 or 2008 federal duck stamp. Applicants under the age of 18 should have a parent or guardian present to sign the contract.
Those chosen must pay a $50 nonrefundable permit fee. They then have 45 days to construct blinds.
Dates for the 2009 fall waterfowl season have not been determined by the Ohio Wildlife Council. They generally fall in late October. For information about hunting seasons, call (800) WILDLIFE or visit wildohio.com.

Classroom wildlife
Area teachers interested in increasing wildlife habitat at their school or agency site, while still teaching required classroom material, are encouraged to attend the free WILD School Sites educator workshop on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The workshop will be frm 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Shawnee Prairie Nature Preserve, 4267 state Route 502, Greenville.
