There is that moment on Christmas Day, perhaps right after the gifts have been exchanged (i.e. the kids throw wrapping paper in every corner of the house), that you look at your family members and think: what next? Well, thankfully for you, we've uncovered some fairly creative ways for you to get out of the house and immersed in the magic of the holiday season. From holiday light displays to potluck dinners, these are the places to be on Christmas Day.

Last December, Clifton Mill was the winner of a $50,000 prize on ABC show “The Great Christmas Light Fight.” TOM GILLIAM / CONTRIBUTING PHOTOGRAPHER

As quietness sweeps the atmosphere, orchestral music begins a medley of Christmas songs and lights over the bridge will twinkle on and off again. Don't miss the Santa Claus Museum on site. Refreshments for sale.
