Antioch College will host a "Food Fight" culinary competition among amateur chefs (and perhaps a professional or two) this weekend.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at the college’s Birch Kitchen at 450 Corry St. in Yellow Springs.

The competition is open to all, amateur and professional chefs. Participation in the competition and judging will be decided via raffle at the start of the event.  Monetary prizes will go to the winners.

There will be music, food, and a cash bar featuring local craft breweries. Admission is $10 at the door. There will be no advance ticket sales.

Antioch College is collaborating with Mischievous Penguin Inc., a Fairborn-based company formed by The Winds chef Roland Eliason to help reduce the amount of food waste that ends up in landfills, to host the event.
