Cedarville selling radio network to KLOVE

CEDARVILLE — Cedarville University is selling its statewide radio network to the nonprofit foundation that operates the nationwide KLOVE and Air1 Christian music networks, it was announced Friday.

The university has reached an agreement with the California-based Educational Media Foundation to sell the CDR Radio Network pending approval of the Federal Communications Commission.

EMF plans to use the frequencies — including CDR’s Dayton/Springfield flagship at 90.3FM — to broadcast its contemporary Christian music formats, according to a university news release.

Created in the 1960s, CDR broadcasts Bible-based teaching, Christian-interest news and contemporary Christian music on 13 frequencies.
