Get a look at the new 'Star Wars' lands at Disney parks


"The Force" is strong with Mickey Mouse and Disney parks, which are well on their way to making room for the Jedi and Sith.

During a televised event celebrating Disneyland's 60th anniversary, Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford, introduced the artist renderings of the expanded "Star Wars Land" that will at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida and the new land that is planned in Disneyland.

Ford also showed off a new ride that allows guests to take Solo's seat and control the Millennium Falcon as they take on the First Order, Entertainment Weekly reported.

In addition to the ride, guests will be transported to, what Disney is calling, "authentic locales," where they can partake in local delicacies like Tatooine's famous "blue milk."

There is no official launch date for the new lands which will have a 14-acre footprint, the OC Register reported.
