Springfield musicians will bring their upbeat sound for a Sunday afternoon concert this weekend.
The CrossOver Jazz Trio takes the stage at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Sanctuary Series at High Street United Methodist Church, 203 E. High St., Springfield.
CrossOver Jazz Trio is made up of Chuck Young, vocals and guitar; Mark Smarelli, vibes; and John Wobbe, bass. The Trio may be familiar to local audiences, having played such events as the Summer Arts Festival, CultureFest and Holiday in the City.
The group will perform jazz classics as well as standards from the Great American Songbook.
Attendees can meet the performers at a reception in the church commons following the show.
Admission is free; an offering will be taken to help offset expenses during the event.
