Here’s a timeline of J. Lo and A-Rod’s relationship.
More than a decade before they started dating, Lopez met Rodriguez at Shea Stadium in New York before the No. 13 player’s game against the Mets on May 21, 2005. Lopez attended the game with her husband of over a year, singer Marc Anthony. The three stood together before the game -- J. Lo wore a Yankees baseball cap and Anthony wore a New York Mets jersey.
Lopez stopped by a restaurant for lunch after doing a photo shoot and saw Rodriguez walk by. She stepped outside, tapped him on the shoulder and said, “Hey.” The two had a chat about living in Los Angeles and, eventually, the two went out on their first date.
