Background/Overview: The former owner of Rock 'n Robin Diner, Brad Yocom, moved the building on wheels and by crane to Urbana, Ohio in the 1990s. Alice Chadwell then purchased the nostalgic-themed eatery from Brad and ran the popular dining venue for 14 years.
During that time, Ken Green was in the oil and gasoline industry, which required traveling the country much of each year. His wife Billie grew up in Urbana. The couple has four children. They truly wanted their family to “set down roots” in her hometown; meaning he would have to stop the constant traveling to spend more time with them.
Alice’s Diner wasn’t listed in the real estate market; however, Ken knew of a realtor in the area that heard she might want to sell. He approached Alice and offered to buy the business. In 2014 she agreed, so Ken and Billie Green and their children are now settled and are the owners of the retro Rock ‘n Robin Diner.
