Meadows known for good food, drink, crazy customers

Background/overview

Terri Katawick and her husband, Jim, were raised in Springfield. Terri was working at The Meadows when the previous owner suddenly closed the well-liked restaurant in early 2008. Within the first month after it closed, Jim repeatedly told his wife that she needed to reopen the place. Terri repeatedly and emphatically told him, “No!”

Jim didn’t relent in trying to change her mind. Three months later in June 2008 he convinced Terri to become the sole proprietor of Meadows Restaurant.

Along with the assistance of her loving family, the commitment from her loyal staff has allowed Terri to offer The Meadows customers traditional American cuisine from a large menu and full bar service from open to close. Also called “The Farmer’s Country Club,” Meadows Restaurant is known for its “good food, cold drinks, and crazy … customers!”

The menu

Beverages: Coffee, Fresh-brewed Iced Tea, or Pepsi products (fountain)-$1.95.

“Spirits” are served from the full bar if you’re Twenty-one years or older.

Kid’s Menu: Cheeseburger, Chicken Tenders, or Grilled Cheese-$4.25. These meals are served with French Fries and Applesauce; substitutions are $ .99 each.

“Daily Specials” (After 4 P.M., and all day on Sundays): Mon., Ham & Beans w/Fried Potatoes & Cornbread-$8.50, or

More information

The Meadows has seating for 120 guests in three dining rooms. Reservations are most appreciated for groups of eight or more visitors. Senior customers are permitted to order off the kid’s menu.
