Temps, storm chances on the rise rest of week

Skies will partly cloudy overnight with temperatures falling back into the lower to middle 60s by morning, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Thursday: Skies become partly cloudy with a chance for a shower or storm, mainly north late in the day. One or two storms could be strong. Temperatures will top out in the middle 80s. It will be breezy at times.

Friday: Partly cloudy skies will start the day with a pop-up shower or storm possible, mainly during the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle 80s.

Saturday: Scattered showers and storms are possible, mainly the first half of the day. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

Sunday: Much of the area will get a chance to dry out under partly cloudy skies to start the new week. Highs will still reach into the lower to middle 80s.

Monday: Lots of sunshine is expected with highs in the middle 80s.

Independence Day: Plan for partly cloudy skies with a chance for showers and storms this Fourth of July. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
