HS Results 12/13: Webster beats buzzer for Fairmont


Makira Webster dropped in the game-winning three-point basket at the buzzer to lead Fairmont to a 52-50 win against Springboro in girls basketball action on Wednesday.

Maddie Westbeld paced Fairmont with 15 points and Kierra Thornton tacked on 12.

Kennedy Lewis hit a pair of foul shots to give Springboro the lead with 11 seconds to play. Lewis led ‘Boro with 15 points and Jordan Diehl added 12.

Girls Basketball

Beavercreek 52, Lebanon 35: Carmen Williams carried ‘Creek with 15 points and Michaela Rhoades added 11. Alexis Straw led Lebanon with 15.

Centerville 71, Springfield 35: Sam Chable scored 11 points, Alexis Hutchison 11 and Jasmine Broner 10 for Centerville.

Northmont 60, Miamisburg 42: Kaitlyn McCray totaled 14 points, Camryn Nadir 13 and Shalaya Heath 12 for Northmont. Abby Carter paced ‘Burg with career-high 20.

Tippecanoe 64, Greenville 36: Allison Mader tallied 19, Maddie Frederick 15 and Cali Stewart 11 for Tipp.

Lakota West 73, Princeton 47: Abby Prohaska tallied 16 points with nine boards and Nevaeh Dean added on 13 points for West.

Middletown 50, Fairfield 43: Aubriana Bellard led the way with 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Middies. Zahrya Bailey scored 12 for Fairfield.

Sycamore 74, Hamilton 45: CiCi Riggins put up 19 points and Makayla Rodgers added 12 points with 12 rebounds in a losing effort for Hamilton.

Badin 43, Edgewood 36, OT: Shelby Nusbaum hit a game-tying three-pointer in the final minute of regulation on her way to 16 points for Badin. Emily Maher and Claire McCurley added 10 apiece. Zoe Stephen had 11 for Edge.

Tecumseh 94, Graham 21: Presley Griffitts poured in 36 points with 11 assists and 15 steals in an outstanding performance for Tecumseh.

Bellefontaine 62, Urbana 26: Deserae Johnson and Alaina Lyons scored 11 points apiece in a losing effort for Urbana.

Meadowdale 45, Jefferson 44, OT: Ilea Bradfield had 13 points to help give Meadowdale the edge in a close contest. Jordan Harris had 17 for Jefferson.

Girls Bowling

Miamisburg 2376, Fairmont 2215: Bailey Cook rolled a 430 series and Brittney Sheehan a 420 for ‘Burg.
