ESPN’s FPI rankings unimpressed by Bengals

Much like everybody else, ESPN isn’t fond of the Bengals’ performance so far.

In its FPI rankings - predicated on how current performance projects for the season - the Bengals came in 26th.

Other than the Texans, every team below the Bengals picked in the top 10 of last year’s draft (as did Cincinnati). In other words, bad company.

There’s a case for a Bengals rebound. The talent is there on offense. But at some point it has to come together on the field, and as the losses pile up, it’ll be hard for player motivation not to go down.
