About Dayton: Sub center Alex Gavrilovic is out indefinitely (knee) and backup guard Khari Price (thigh bruise) is doubtful. … The Flyers surprised the Owls, 87-77, in the Liacouras Center last season. UD has won four of the last six in the series. … Dillard is 10th in the A-10 in scoring, fifth in assists (4.6), fourth in foul shooting (87.4) and 11th in 3-pointers per game (1.9). … Oliver is third in the league in rebounding (8.4). He grabbed 12 in a 60-54 win over St. Joe's on Wednesday. He also made two 3-pointers in three attempts. He was 7-for-35 on 3's going into the game.

About Temple: The Owls handed Syracuse its first loss this year in the Gotham Classic. … Wyatt scored 25 points in an 89-88 home win over Charlotte on Wednesday and is averaging 25.0 in his last eight games. He also leads the Owls with 4.0 assists per game. … Jake O'Brien, a 6-9 forward who came to Temple as a graduate student from Boston University, scored 22 points off the bench against Charlotte. He's ninth in the A-10 in 3-point shooting (42.4).

Surf's up: UD will be participating in the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational next year, and event organizers are delivering an eight-foot, hand-crafted surfboard as welcoming gift to each school. The Flyers will receive theirs at the game today.
