Bengals make LaFell signing official

The Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday officially announced the signing of wide receiver Brandon LaFell to a two-year contract.

LaFell was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent with the start of the league new year at 4 p.m. Thursday, but the new deal assures the Bengals of returning their six leading receivers from last year.

“I’m happy to be back in Cincinnati,” LaFell told Sirius/XM radio. “I have a good chemistry with the guys in the locker room, and Andy (Dalton) is a great quarterback.”

In his first season in Cincinnati, LaFell caught 64 passes for 862 yards and a team-high six touchdowns.
