Bridgette is responsible for covering Clark County government and agencies. She joined the News-Sun staff in July of 2007 and was assigned to the townships and villages beat. She moved to the county beat in October that year.
Bridgette regularly covers all Clark County government offices as well as the Board of Elections, Clark County-Springfield Transportation Coordinating Committee, Job and Family Services of Clark County, Clark County Public Library, Humane Society of Clark County and Clark County Park District.
Bridgette also writes features about interesting people and programs in the community, such as Clark County Deaf Community and the Red Cross Clark County chapter.
This year, she received an Honorable Mention from the Associated Press Society of Ohio for her coverage of the county’s 2007 revaluation. A Chicago native, Bridgette has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Texas Southern University in Houston. She currently lives in Springfield.
