Vehicle hits 2 bicyclists, now in hospital

Two bicyclists were transported to a hospital after a hit and run.

At approximately 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Logan County Sheriff’s responded to a 911 call on an accident on State Route 47, west of Township Road 126.

When deputies arrived, they located 2 cyclists who were injured from a hit and run vehicle described as a newer model, silver colored vehicle that fled the scene westbound on State Route 47. Deputies said the suspect vehicle lost the passenger side mirror in the crash.

Rush Creek and Bokes Creek EMS responded to the scene and transported both bicyclists to Mary Rutan Hospital. Both suffered incapacitating injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
