Weekend could end with dusting of snow

Temperatures in southwest Ohio and the Miami Valley that will continue in the teens to low 20s through Saturday will be accompanied by a chance of snow showers Saturday night, with light accumulation through Sunday of a dusting to a half-inch.

Temperatures tonight will be in the 20s and upper teens, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek. Saturday, clouds will move in late in the day and high in the mid-30s.

The chance for snow showers will come Saturday night before widespread snow showers return Sunday afternoon.

“A coating or dusting is possible, but with highs near freezing the roads won’t be as bad as they could be if we were colder,” Wirdzek said.

For Monday and Tuesday, sunshine returns both days with a bit of milder weather. Monday will be close to average temperatures in the mid 30s, while Tuesday looks to be slightly above normal in the upper 30s.

Overnight Tuesday and through the day on Wednesday, the region will be dealing with what looks like some heavy rain at times that will change to light snow late Wednesday.
