Mother to storm kitty, Twister, found by family

A Clark County family whose homes and barn were destroyed three weeks ago were overjoyed Sunday when they found the cat they feared was a casualty of the E-F 3 tornado.

The Dobbins family's cat Mady, who was nursing a litter in the family's barn, had been missing since the May 14 storm.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek rescued one of Mady's kittens, a 4-week-old calico, who was cold, wet and mewling in the tornado rubble the following morning. Now named Twister, Wirdzek on Friday just adopted the healthy kitten.
