Lots of scares in store: 5 facts and figures about Halloween

Everyone’s favorite spooky holiday is right around the corner.

Clark and Champaign counties will celebrate Beggar’s Night on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., and the village of St. Paris will having their trick-or-treating on Halloween itself, Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m.

But the little monsters and goblins in and around Springfield won’t be the only ones taking to the streets. Here are some heart-stopping facts and figures we scared up through the United States Census Bureau about how the U.S. has a bloody good time on All Hallow’s Eve.
