Flood Advisory issued for some counties

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood Advisory for Greene, Montgomery and Warren counties, effective until 4:45 p.m.

The Flood Advisory was extended for Greene and Clinton counties until 6:15 p.m.

A small portion of Clinton County was briefly under a Tornado Warning, but there were no reports of one being spotted.

There is still the chance for strong to severe storms early this evening, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson.

"Once we get past 7 or 8 p.m., the threat for showers and thunderstorms should be over," Simpson said.

Skies will clear and temperatures will fall to the mid-50s.

Thursday will bring a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will reach the mid- to upper-70s.

Friday will be partly cloudy, with temperatures in the upper-70s, Wirdzek said.
