Chance for rain doesn’t end this weekend.

The area is still dealing with flooding. Small creeks are having difficulty with holding the amount of water that fell Saturday, mainly because the ground is already too saturated says Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs. As water looks to find a natural passage, small creeks become overloaded.

Showers will continue to taper down through the evening, but with more rain expected through the extended forecast, flooding will be our main concern. Skies will become mostly cloudy. Temperatures will fall from the 70s and into the 60s overnight.

Sunday, mostly cloudy with a few showers in the morning, mainly south and east. More scattered showers and a few thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 80s.

Monday, partly sunny. A few scattered showers and thunderstorms possible. The more sun, the better chance for stronger to severe storms. Highs in the lower to mid 80s.
