Here’s who applied to grow marijuana in Ohio; Hundreds rally to support Kasich veto - Ohio Politics Today

Ohio Governor John Kasich is in a rare standoff with his own party - the issue is a halt to Medicaid expansion that was passed last week in Ohio's bi-annual budget. Kasich is against halting expansion, while many in the Statehouse GOP.

Hundreds rallied today in Columbus to support Kasich’s veto while the  GOP tried to rally votes to override it. Among those traveling to the state capital were local CareSource employees, the state’s largest Medicaid managed plan provider.

Over 180 potential pot farmers filed for 24 Ohio medical marijuana cultivation licenses.
