Urbana police allege bank employees stole $391,000

Two former Urbana Security National Bank employees have been indicted on charges related to the alleged theft of $391,000 over several years.

Kristie Shover, 46, of Urbana, and Kristen Head, 34, of Dublin, have both been charged with aggravated theft, receiving stolen property and tampering with records, according to Urbana Police Chief Matt Lingrell.

Shover was fired from her job at the Urbana bank at 828 Scioto St. in July, Lingrell said. She had been an employee since 2004.

Head had been an employee at the bank since 2001, he said, and resigned in 2014.

The money had been stolen from the bank over a period of time dating back to 2009, Lingrell said.
