Robbery suspect accused of assaulting elderly man

Springfield police: Son hit mom with soup can


A Springfield man was arrested on a charges of domestic violence and carrying an open container, after his mother told police he threw a can of soup at her.

William Bono Jr., 35, of Roseland Drive was picked up by Springfield police after his mother told officers her son punched her and struck her in the head with a can of soup.

Officers found Bono Jr. riding his bike in the 200 block of East Roseland Drive, carrying an open container in his hand.

Bono was taken to the Clark County Jail.
