Police: Man bought rounds of drinks, skipped on bill

A Springfield man is charged with theft after he allegedly ordered several rounds of drinks for others at El Toro restaurant Tuesday evening, then ran out without paying.

Employees told police that Larry Kennedy, 35, ordered $151.38 worth of beverages for himself and others, but when the bill came he fled.

According to a police report, officers found Kennedy across the street and gave him the opportunity to pay his tab.

He said he didn’t have enough money and was taken to the Clark County Jail. He was ordered to appear in court today.
