Cops: City man publicly indecent

A Springfield man was placed in Clark County Jail Thursday on a charge of public indecency for, according to a woman’s allegations, making lewd comments and exposing himself in front of her children on West Pleasant Street.

According to a Springfield police report, Jonathon L. Thornsbury, 53, of 509 ½ W. Pleasant St., yelled lewd comments at her and exposed himself about 11:15 a.m. from the steps to his second-floor apartment as she and her four children were on their nearby front lawn. STAFF REPORT

Man charged with domestic assault

James L. Waugh, 42, of 2365 W. First St., Apt. 8, was placed in Clark County Jail Wednesday on charges of domestic violence and assault.

He’s accused of punching an 18-year-old man he knows several times, causing him to go unconscious and have facial injuries about 7:30 p.m. in the 400 block of South Fountain Avenue. The victim was transported to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to a Springfield police report.

Waugh was located about 9 p.m. at his home. STAFF REPORT
