5 Donut Day deals and how Troy Strawberry Festival donuts are made

Today, June 6 is National Donut Day.

Just in time for the annual made-up observance, The Troy Music Boosters are busy making 156,000 strawberry donuts for this weekend’s Troy Strawberry Festival.

Here are five National Donut Day deals. Some are better than others and one will help a charity.

The Deal: The locally owned bakery will donate $1 to the Salvation Army for every dozen sold.

Customers will also receive an extra donut — making it a baker’s dozen — when they purchase a dozen donuts.

The Deal: Free donut with the purchase of a beverage today. Pricing and participation may vary.

Fazoli’s, various locations
