Springfield native to play piano recital in Columbus


Springfield native Dr. Marc Heeg will perform a piano recital featuring light classical music at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, in Columbus.

The show will be at Graves Recital Hall at the Graves Piano and Organ Company.

Heeg has more than 30 years of experience and has performed all over the United States, Europe and Asia. Sunday he will play a varied program suitable for a summer Sunday afternoon including works from Mozart, Schubert and Chopin.

He runs the Sine Qua Non Music Academy in Columbus. Heeg previously served as a professor of piano at a university in Cyprus.

There is no admission, but donations will be accepted and funds raised will benefit the Columbus Maennerchor, a German American singing society.
