DETAILED FORECAST

A line of storms will approach from the northwest during the overnight hours, but is expected to weaken as it gets closer to the Miami Valley, according to Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar.

The line might last just long enough for some areas to see rain, but the entire area will see a much better chance for rain Monday.

Lows will drop into the middle 70s.

MONDAY: More showers and storms are expected. Some of these could be strong with the biggest threats being locally heavy rain and gusty winds. Highs will be in the upper 80s.

TUESDAY: The slight relief from the heat starts Tuesday as we see highs in the middle to upper 80s. Heat index values will be near 90 degrees under mostly sunny skies.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny skies are on tap for your Wednesday. Highs will again be in the middle to upper 80s with heat index values near 90 degrees.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy skies and the chance for showers and storms returns on Thursday. Highs will be in the middle 80s.
