Another person tries to stay dry on this wet and windy Thursday morning on Second Street.

Today will be mostly cloudy and cooler than normal, with a chance of rain throughout the day and a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Rain and storm chances will trail off around dark likely before 10 p.m.

Highs will be around 76 degrees, falling to around 62 degrees overnight.

On Wednesday, there will again be a chance of rain throughout the day, with a slight chance of thunderstorms around dawn and in the afternoon. Breezy conditions is possible with wind gusts from 14 to 16 mph and as high as 28 mph.

Highs will be around 77 degrees.

Overnight, there will be a chance of showers through the night as temperatures dip to around 59 degrees.

Thursday will also bring a chance of showers, both through the day and overnight, along with a chance of storms starting in the early afternoon that will end after midnight.

Temperatures are expected to be about the same, with highs reaching around 74 degrees and lows dropping to around 63 degrees.
