HS Roundup 4/14: Tecumseh baseball blows out Springfield

The Tecumseh boys baseball team triumphed over Springfield, 13-3.

Tecumseh earned 13 runs on eight hits, while Springfield’s three came off six hits.

Will Sowder picked up the win on the mound, throwing a complete game with seven strikeouts.

Gavin Wasson tacked on two hits in the win.

Avery Swigart and Nate McGlothin each ran for doubles in the losing effort.

Baseball

Northeastern 16, Yellow Springs 0: Garrett Peters paved the way in Northeastern’s win, knocking out two homeruns and sending in six RBIs on three hits. Mac Davis, Skylar Davis and Jake Nichols all picked up two hits for Northeastern.

Northwestern 6, Triad 3: Dane Sowards picked up seven strikeouts in the win.

Springboro 12, Butler 11: Cameron Rountree led the offensive effort with four runs in the walk-off victory. Luke Donaghy and Ben Barber tacked on three runs each. Preston Tofstad led Butler with three runs in the losing effort.

Softball

Chaminade Julienne 16, Purcell Marian 1: Carly Fugett led the effort in the win, striking out 13 Purcell hitters and hitting for seven RBIs at the plate.

Boys Tennis

Miami Valley 4, Wyoming 1: The doubles duos of Makul Sharma and Reece Quigley and Amin Ahmed and Nathan Howell swept the doubles portion of the match as Miami Valley moved to 7-0.
