HS Roundup 3/1: Dayton Christian boys knock off Preble Shawnee


Matt Welker’s 22 points led in Dayton Christian’s 51-48 victory over Preble Shawnee, as they advance to the D-III sectional finals at Butler.

Ryan Fair chipped in 14 points and Anton Webb nine in the win.

Joey Bates tallied 20 points in the Preble Shawnee loss. Tyler Worley added on 13.

Dayton Christian will face Stivers on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

Stivers 60, Twin Valley South 45: Tied 22-22 at halftime, Stivers pulled away in the second half, outscoring TVS 38-23.

Defiance 45, St. Marys Memorial 35: Makena Mele netted 17 points in the sectionals loss. Syd Cisco tacked on 15.
