HS Roundup 1/16: Carroll to bring unbeaten record to Flyin’ tournament

Undefeated Carroll rallied from a three-point deficit in the final quarter to edge visiting Roger Bacon 52-49 in girls basketball on Wednesday.

Liz Bush led the way with 18 points and Julia Keller chipped in 15.

Clarissa Craig paced Roger Bacon with 22 points.

The win moved Carroll to 15-0 overall and 7-0 in conference play heading into Saturday’s 11:30 a.m. matchup with Minster in the Flyin’ to the Hoop Tournament at Trent Arena.

Girls Basketball

Beavercreek 44, Miamisburg 34: Anna Landing and Alyssa Hargrove-Hall had 13 points apiece to lead ‘Creek.

Centerville 64, Lebanon 43: Amy Velasco and Cotie McMahon of Centerville both dropped in 17 points. Lebanon’s Kendall Folley scored 21 points.

Chaminade Julienne 48, Badin 45: Chaminade Julienne’s Staci Greene scored 17 points, Jordyn Varise added 12 and Teri McCann tacked on 10. Shelby Nusbaum tallied 20 points for Badin

Jonathan Alder 69, Northwestern 31: Abby Jones of Jonathan Alder led with 15 points and Melissa Walbom added 10.

McNicholas 63, Alter 53: MaKayla Blount recorded 13 points and Julia Paley added 12 in a losing effort for Alter.

Tecumseh 117, Graham 17: Corinne Thomas of Tecumseh poured in 45 points, Mackenzie Pauley scored 28, Mae Martin added 22 and Terah Harness tacked on 12 with 12 rebounds.
