HS Results 12/2: National Trail wins TVS Tip-Off Tourney

Dalton Mason scored 18 points to lead the National Trail boys basketball team in a 55-48 win versus host Twin Valley South at the TVS Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday.

Travis Hunt tacked on 16 points and Zach Woodall added 11 for Trail.

In the consolation game Eaton defeated Dixie 59-44. Grant Sullender led the way with 16 points. A.J. Shockey scored 13 for Dixie.

Tippecanoe 78, Oakwood 70: Caiden Smith tallied 20 points and Ben Sauls tacked on 17 for Tipp. Darren Ruben led Oakwood with 16.

Butler 40, Beavercreek 34: Kort Justice put up 17 points and Braedon Norman tacked on 10 to lead Butler.

Troy 39, St. Marys 37: Eli Palmer tallied 10 points to lead Troy to a win in its season opener.

Mason 73, Springboro 50: Kaleb Tabor scored 15 points and Garett Powell added 10 in a losing effort for Springboro. Tanner Knue led Mason with 17.

Badin 65, Ponitz 56: Caleb Meyer had 16 points and Sam Matthews 11 to help Badin recover from a slow start. Malik Pooler paced Ponitz with 15 and Demonte Bailey added 14.

Belmont 45, Carroll 41: Jadon Furlow led Belmont with 18 points. Eli Ramsey carried Carroll with 13.

Stivers 58, Finneytown 54, OT: Trevon Ellis scored 11 points with 10 rebounds to lead Stivers.

Madison 66, Tri-County North 56: Grant Whisman paced Madison with 25 points in a game played at Hoosier Gym in Knightstown, Indiana. Dillon McCullough had 30 for TCN.

Northwestern 58, Greeneview 55, OT: Jalan Minney paced NW with 13. Gabe Caudill had 21 for Greeneview.

Triad 57, North Union 50: Hadley LeVan poured in 31 points, passing the 1,000 career point mark for Triad.

Miami East 46, West Liberty-Salem 40: Justin Brown hit two three-point shots in the final quarter to help East pull away. Austin Kearns led East with 15 points. Neil Markin had 14 for WLS.

Calvary Christian 68, Mechanicsburg 42: Chris Taylor scored 22 points for ‘Burg in a losing effort.

Legacy Christian 66, Cedarville 36: Erik Uszynski recorded 17 points and Keano Hammerstrom added 15 to lead Legacy at the Athletes In Action Showcase.

Troy Christian 58, New Bremen 47: James Anderson poured in 30 points for Troy Christian. Nolan Barnhorst had 16 for Bremen.

Fort Loramie 57, New Knoxville 22: Dillon Braun pumped in 16 points and Tyler Siegel 13 to lead Fort. Ben Lammers had 11 for New Knoxville.

Parkway 56, Botkins 37: Mason Baxter put up 14 points and Logan Huff and Preston Stober each added 10 for Parkway.

Fort Recovery 79, Greenville 72: Payton Jutte poured in 37 points in a losing effort for Greenville.

St. Henry 56, Russia 46: Tyler Schlarman scored 22 points and Parker Link tacked on 11 for St. Henry. Daniel Kearns recorded 13 for Russia.

Madison 58, Milton Union 52: Kenzi Saunders poured in 24 points to help Madison recover from a slow start. Olivia Brown had 16 for Milton.

Oakwood 52, Brookville 34: Lauren Hapgood led the way for Oakwood with 24 points and Kylie Foos tacked on five steals. Kaylee Wheat had 10 points for Brookville.

Preble Shawnee 54, Carlisle 48: Brenna Woodard had 12 points and Jenna Lovely 11 for Preble. Christa Harris carried Carlisle with 21.

Waynesville 44, Eastern Brown 40: Rachel Murray poured in 24 points to help Waynesville move to 4-0.

Dixie 43, Northridge 35: McKinlee Ruppert carried Dixie with 20 points. Loraine Reeder had 11 and Leslie Lane 10 for Northridge.

Valley View 47, Bellbrook 42: Hunter Stidham had four three-point shots on the way to 23 points for Valley View. Maren Freudenschuss had 11 for Bellbrook.

McAuley 64, Badin 42: Emma Broermann led the Badin effort with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Edgewood 50, Northwest 47, OT: Cierra Lipps recorded 17 points and Callie Hunt 13 to help pull off the overtime win.

Conner (KY) 69, Tecumseh 67: Corinne Thomas recorded 22 points and Presley Griffits tacked on 21 points with 10 rebounds for Tecumseh at the Hoops for Harvest Tournament in Kentucky.

Yellow Springs 48, West Carrollton 47: Amani Wagner poured in 21 points with 16 boards and DeDe Cheatom tacked on 14 to help Yellow Springs hold off a West Carrollton rally.

Legacy Christian 85, Graham 53: Emma Hess poured in 28 points and Emily Riddle added 25 to lead Legacy at the Athletes In Action Showcase. Brooke Johannes had 15 for Graham.

Franklin Monroe 44, Troy Christian 39: Corina Conley had 17 points and Audrey Cable 11 for FM. Kenley Blake paced TC with 12.

West Liberty-Salem 62, Miami East 55, OT: Kelsey Day had 21 points, including seven three-pointers, to help WLS pull away in overtime. Haley Howard had 14 points with 11 rebounds for East.

Triad 58, Fairbanks 41: Emma Vanninem tallied 19 points with 11 rebounds and Alea Ferguson added 15 for Triad.

MVCA 59, New Miami 24: Arielle Scalf had 13 points in a losing effort for New Miami.

Fort Loramie 59, Botkins 28: Kennedi Gephart led all scorers with 15 points and Marissa Miering added 11 points with 11 rebounds for Fort, which reached 800 wins as a program.

Wapakoneta 34, Fort Recovery 32: Jessica Davis paced Wapak with 11 points. Carley Stone had 12 for Fort.

Versailles 60, Covington 39: Kami McEldowney put up 17 points and Danielle Winner added 16 for Versailles. Sam Whiteman had 15 for Covington.

Coldwater Invitational: St. Marys finished second and Coldwater third at the invite. Justin Sigler (Coldwater), Josh Fink (Coldwater), Aaron Beckman (Milton Union), Travis Howard (Preble Shawnee) and Ty Stevenson (Preble Shawnee) each won all of their matches.

Marysville Duals: Graham went 4-0 with wins over Delaware Hayes, Big Walnut, Marysville and Watkins Memorial.
