H.S. Results for 2/3: Oakwood boys upset Franklin

Franklin suffered its first league loss of the season in a 56-51 setback to Oakwood on Friday night.

Mark Lauterbach and Brendan Talarczyk each had 13 points to lead Oakwood (11-7).

Brookville also lost on Friday, 52-45 to Valley View, so Franklin (15-2) still holds a one-game lead over Brookville in the Southwestern Buckeye League Southwestern Conference.

Miamisburg 63, Springboro 52: Jason Hubbard scored 16 of his 18 points in the first half to help Miamisburg stake an early lead. Kort Justice added 16 points and Duncan Hall 12 for ‘Burg. Christian James carried Springboro with 20 points and Trey Varinsky added 14.

Wayne 58, Beavercreek 39: Deshon Parker had 17 points, Isaiah Trice 13 and Rashad McKee 11 for Wayne. Cedric Baldwin paced Beavercreek with 12 points.

Northmont 52, Lebanon 40: Christian Wilson tallied 18 points and Northmont captured its first outright league title since 1975. Dakota Allen led Lebanon with 15 points and Zach Huffman added 10.

Sidney 87, Troy 70: Andre Gordon poured in 31 points and Ratez Roberts added 13 to lead Sidney. Ryan McClurg tallied 17 points and Zach Reichelderfer 15 for Troy.

Greenville 71, Vandalia 65: Isaiah Gable scored 22 points and Peter Pandey had 15, including 11 in the final quarter, to lead Greenville. Miles Joiner poured in 39 points for Vandalia in the loss.

Tippecanoe 50, Piqua 45: Cade Gingrich had eight of his 20 points in the final quarter in leading Tippecanoe to a fourth quarter rally. Ben Schmiesing paced Piqua with 14 points.

Fairborn 46, Stebbins 41: Branden Lilley and Shaunn Monroe each had 10 points for Fairborn, which opened the game on a 13-point swing. Jonathan Mpanzu paced Stebbins with 19 points.

Alter 52, Badin 30: Connor Bazelak scored 13 points and Dominic Laravie 10 to help Alter remain unbeaten in conference play. John Marot led Badin with 10 points.

Chaminade Julienne 46, Purcell Marian 36: Christian Montague carried Chaminade Julienne with 29 points. CJ took control with a 20-4 run in the second quarter.

Dunbar 95, Ponitz 65: Chris Jackson put up 22 points and Storm Cook and Caleb McConnell added 18 apiece to lead Dunbar. De’edgar Cooks had 18 points and Floyd Scott 16 points with 14 rebounds for Ponitz.

Stivers 48, Thurgood Marshall 33: Tony Boddie had 15 points and Miles Clark 14 in leading Stivers to its seventh consecutive win and first win over Thurgood in school history. Kadeim Jones tallied 15 points for Thurgood.

Meadowdale 63, Belmont 52: Jabali Leonard recorded 21 points and Johnny Trigg 16 for Meadowdale.

Graham 47, Indian Lake 45: Andrew Ford’s jumper at the buzzer propelled Graham over Lake. Ford led Graham with 19 points.

Valley View 52, Brookville 45: Tyler Scherer scored 16 points and Dalton Stewart 12 but a poor showing from the foul line came back to hurt Brookville late.

Monroe 63, Bellbrook 58: Tristan Backas had 23 points and Nick Osterman added 22 to lead Monroe in the conference win. Donnie Crouch poured in 35 points in a losing effort for Bellbrook.

Preble Shawnee 74, Northridge 66: Joey Bates scored 20 points to lead four players in double-digit scoring for Preble Shawnee. Seth Deaton paced Northridge with 17 points.

Dixie 41, Milton-Union 38: Seven of Devin Worley’s 13 points came in the final quarter to help Dixie secure the win. Daniel Albaugh led Milton-Union with 10 points.

Tri-Village 65, Miami East 40: Trace Couch carried Tri-Village with 21 points and 12 rebounds while Gavin Richards added 15 points with seven assists.

Newton 43, National Trail 40: Ryan Mollette had 14 points for Newton. Travis Hunt paced Trail with 13 points.

Greeneview 54, Madison Plains 47: Mason Schneider’s 23 points paced Greeneview.

Triad 51, Catholic Central 37: Hadley LeVan tallied 17 points for Triad. Thomas Kavanagh carried Central with 12 points.

Fairbanks 86, Mechanicsburg 43: Joey Mascadri carried Mechanicsburg with 22 points in the loss.

Dayton Christian 77, Emmanuel Christian 37: J.T. Thornhill led a balanced Dayton Christian attack with 12 points and Matt Welker and Dominic Wilcox each added 11. Fred Shropshire paced Emmanuel with 11 points.

Middletown Christian 52, Xenia Legacy Christian 48: Jarod Hamlin recorded 22 points with 10 rebounds and Ronin Koeller added 13 points for Middletown Christian.

Fairlawn 53, Jackson Center 44: Nathan Lessing surpassed the 2,000 career point milestone in the win. Lessing finished with 28 points on the night.

Russia 77, Botkins 33: Drew Poling had 13 points and Drew Sherman 12 to lead five players in double-digit scoring for Russia.

Fort Loramie 50, Houston 19: Dillon Braun led a balanced attack with 12 points as Fort Loramie cruised to victory.

Versailles 78, New Knoxville 40: Justin Ahrens poured in 34 points, including six three-point baskets, in leading Versailles. Nathan Tinnerman led New Knoxville with 17 points.

Delphos St. John’s 56, St. Henry 49: Tim Kreeger had 18 points and Jarred Wurst 14 for DSJ. Ryan Bruening led St. Henry with 13 points.

Fort Recovery 61, Parkway 50: Micaiah Cox had 15 points and Jason Roessner 10 for Fort Recovery. Mason Baxter and Jack Wehe tallied 14 points apiece for Parkway.

Minster 61, Marion Local 59: Mike Ketner had 24 points and Aaron Ernst 17 to lead Minster in the rally win. Tyler Prenger scored 24 points for Marion Local.
