Report: Tight end C.J. Uzomah staying with the Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to terms with tight end C.J. Uzomah on a three-year contract, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Uzomah, one of the team’s 13 unrestricted free agents, notched career highs in receptions (43), yards (439) and touchdowns (three) last season.

The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder was one of three tight ends on the roster set to become free agents at 4 p.m. Wednesday when 2018 contracts expire. The other two — Tyler Eifert and Tyler Kroft — missed most of the 2018 season with injuries.

It’s a significant raise for Uzomah, a fifth-round pick in 2015 who made $700,000 last season.
