Silver said several Bengals assistant coaches have been let go today, suggesting the new head coach will come from outside the organization and assemble his own coaching staff.
Numerous current Bengals assistants are being let go today and told that the next coach has other assistants to replace them. This strongly suggests that an outside candidate will get the job.

Hate reporting on guys losing their jobs, especially guys like him... one of the nicest men in this business.
I was just informed that the #Bengals let go of RB coach, Kyle Caskey. His players love him. I have a feeling he’ll be picked up quickly.

Broncos head coach Vance Joseph, former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and Rams assistants Zac Taylor and Shane Waldron were the coaches from outside the organization interviewed.
If Bieniemy, Taylor or Waldron is the Bengals’ pick, the team would have to wait until their current teams are eliminated from the playoffs to annouce the new coach.
A VERY interesting byte from Eric Bieniemy today on the attention he's had on the job search front. To me, sounds like a guy ready to make the jump. (Video ctsy @KCTVDani) pic.twitter.com/eMfMPlkhkc
