Reds reassign Siri, five pitchers to minor league camp

The Cincinnati Reds on Monday reassigned outfielder Jose Siri and five pitchers to minor league camp.

Siri, the team's 10th-ranked prospect according to mlb.com , is hitting .095 (2 for 21) this spring. In 2017, Siri had a 39-game hitting streak as a member of the Dayton Dragons. He hit 24 home runs with 76 RBIs and had 46 stolen bases that season.

Pitchers Jimmy Herget, Felix Jorge, Keury Mella, Alex Powers and Jackson Stephens, all right handers, also were reassigned. Mella and Herget rank 17th and 18th on the Reds’ prospect list.

The Reds play the Indians today in Goodyear, Ariz. at 4:05 p.m.
