No Reds near top of leaderboard in first release of All-Star voting

Reds first baseman Joey Votto ranks 10th at his position with 60,985 well behind the leader: the Pirates’ Josh Bell, who has 621,915 votes.

The Reds’ Eugenio Suarez ranks eighth among third basemen with 69,052 votes. Nolan Arenado, of the Rockies, leads at that position with 783,684 votes.

The other Red on the leaderboard is shortstop Jose Iglesias, who’s ninth at his position with 80,091 votes. He ranks 14th in the league and second among NL shortstops with a .291 average. Javier Baez, of the Cubs, leads the shortstops with 861,496 votes. He’s hitting .298.

The most likely Reds player to make the NL team is starter Luis Castillo, who ranks second in the league with a 2.26 ERA.
