Ohio State arrives in style in Phoenix

Buckeyes ride double-decker jet on way to Fiesta Bowl

Highlights

The Ohio State Buckeyes rode a double-decker United flight to Phoenix on Monday.

Running back Mike Weber slept all the way from Columbus to Phoenix on Monday. It wasn’t hard to do because the No. 3 Ohio State Buckeyes, most of whom wouldn’t fit comfortably on your average commercial jet, rode in style all the way to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl.

Ohio State chartered a double-decker United plane. The players had seats that let them put their feet up and relax.

“It was really sweet,” said Weber on Tuesday in a press conference at the Camelback Inn in Paradise Valley, Ariz. “I was laid out like it was a bed.”

The Buckeyes play No. 2 Clemson at 7 p.m. Saturday in the College Football Playoff semifinals. They hold their first practice in Arizona on Tuesday afternoon at Notre Dame Prep Academy in Scottsdale.

Bengals Report Card: Grading Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens

A week wasn’t enough for Marvin Lewis to completely turn around the defense, but the Cincinnati Bengals at least saw a little improvement in a 24-21 loss at Baltimore on Sunday. They didn’t give up 500 yards and 50 points, so that’s a start, right? Just not enough to avoid a loss in an important AFC North game. »RELATED: Rookie...
