WATCH: Panthers fan in Cam Newton jersey sucker punches older Eagles fan

The Carolina Panthers lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football, and it looks like fans weren’t too pleased with the experience.

Video has emerged that appears to show a young man in a Cam Newton jersey sucker punching an older fan in an Eagles jersey repeatedly in the face. The Eagles fan was having a disagreement with the Panthers fan, but it had not turned physical until that first punch was thrown.

The video is below, thanks to Instagram user “odubco,” who lists his name as Warren C. from Greensboro, NC.

Warren also wrote out a quick caption explaining what he saw take place. It’s worth noting that this is just one account from someone on social media, but, if it’s accurate, it helps to paint the picture.

“Dude bro & his chicka were standing for the entire game,” Warren wrote. “Words gradually got more and more escalated. There previously was a single mom and her son between us, they left halfway through the 3rd. After that, the lid was off. The dude took offense to the couple never sitting down and obstructing his view. The victim telling the dude bro how they’re being jerks and how rude they are for not sitting. The dude bro turns around and calls the victim a ‘geriatric f—k,’ ‘fa—t,’ and ‘hick.’ Then sucker punches him right in the face. I don’t know if he got away or left in handcuffs, but I hope it’s the latter.”

Opposing fans don’t always get along, but this is another level of disagreement that has no place at NFL games.
