Dallas Cowboys safety Jeff Heath was pressed into emergency kicking duty after an injury to Dan Bailey.

Early in the third quarter, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott scored on a 25-yard touchdown run, and that meant Heath had to come out and attempt the extra point. He made it, but by the skin of his teeth.

The Cowboys scored later in third quarter on a rushing touchdown from quarterback Dak Prescott, and Heath had to attempt another extra point. This one was knuckle ball that was short, and way wide right.

After two tough home losses that came down to the final drive, the Cowboys are rolling against the San Francisco 49ers coming off of their bye week. They have a 33-3 lead early in the fourth quarter.

This win is not only good for morale, but they desperately needed to improve to 3-4. With games coming up against the Washington Redskins, Kansas City Chiefs, Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles, this is stretch that will determine if they have a chance to make the playoffs come November.
