Vance Joseph making sure Broncos don’t overlook Giants

Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph doesn’t want his team to overlook the New York Giants. Joseph knows that complacency could creep into the minds of Broncos plays as the injury-riddled Giants come to town. To stem that off, Joseph is setting the tone early this week.

“It’s really about our football team each week and that’s been explained to our football team. Our only goal each week is to play our best game that we can play,” Joseph explained, via the team’s official website. “That doesn’t change who we’re playing, if they have issues or if they don’t have issues. It does not matter. It’s about our football team each week playing our very best football game we can play.”

The Giants had nine starters missing from Wednesday’s practice and are in a state of turmoil at 0-5. New York’s playoff chances pretty much evaporated in last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Despite being an overwhelming favorite, Joseph realizes there’s a danger that his team slip up against the Giants. He’s doing his best to avoid that from happening.
