Vance Joseph: Broncos looking forward to Thursday night

More and more people around the NFL are expressing their disdain for Thursday Night Football, citing the quick turnaround and injury risk as the primary issues with the games. Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph is taking a different approach.

When asked about playing on Thursday night, Joseph focused his attention to the bright side.

“I’m OK with it. It’s a league deal. We all have to do it. We have to embrace it. For our football team, it’s a chance to win two games in five days,” Joseph said, per the team’s official website. “I get the players are sore, but you have to build your schedule and practice to the point where you can get guys recovered and go play a game. In my opinion, it’s an extra bye week for the players. Once you win that football game, you have  Friday Saturday  and  Sunday  to recover and watch football and relax a little bit. For our football team, we’re embracing it. We’re looking forward to it. It’s going to be fun.”

Joseph’s positive attitude could be attributed to the Broncos finally ending their losing streak last week. Denver, already eliminated from the playoffs, could go on a mini winning streak to end their season. If that happens the Broncos could carry their late-season momentum to 2018.

On the week’s edition of All 22’s Broncos Facebook, the Broncos were predicted to win. We’ll see what happens on Thursday night versus the Indianapolis Colts.
