Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was not happy with Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict.
Two plays into their Week 7 matchup, Burfict was on the ground and kicked Steelers fullback Roosevelt Nix in the facemask. Bell was still upset about it after the game.
“My fullback got kicked in the face. That’s just not football to me,” Bell said, via ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. “I don’t think that’s a respectable play.”
There is a strong possibility that Burfict will get suspended for that play. He has been punished so many times for this type of conduct, that there are no more slaps on the wrist for him if the league feels that it was a dirty move.
Burfict already missed the Bengals first three games of the 2017 season due to a suspension for an unnecessary hit on Kansas City Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman.
This is who Burfictis , he plays with an edge, and that is why he was able to make it to the NFL. However, like all professional athletes who play that way, it is going to continue to cost him money if he doesn’t learn to keep himself under better control.
