Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward took to Twitter Wednesday to announce that he had been fined for his eye black.

Heyward applied the words “Iron” and “Head” to his eye black in honor of his father's battle with cancer.

Cam's dad, Craig "Iron Head" Heyward, died in 2006 when he was just 39 years old.

"Got fined for honoring my Dad who bravely fought cancer on my eye black #Nevergiveup #CancerSucks" - Heyward wrote on Twitter.

According to SB Nation, the standard fine for a first violation of the league's uniform policy against "personal messages" is $5,787.

Heyward is the second Steelers player this week to take issue with the league’s policies.

Running back DeAngelo Williams was reportedly told he could not wear pink all year long.
