Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have their fare share of differences but sometimes the two cities can team up — just ask Carson Wentz.
The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback underwent surgery on his ACL on Wednesday. Wentz’s procedure was performed by Dr. James Bradley, per Chris Mortensen of ESPN. Bradley just so happens to be an orthopedic knee specialist based in Pittsburgh. He’s also the Steelers’ orthopedist.
Pennsylvania’s two most populous cities can get along. That’s progress in the Keystone State.
Wentz tore his ACL in the third quarter of Week 14’s win over the Los Angeles Rams. The quarterback is expected to be back healthy next season. As for this year, Wentz’s injury is a huge blow to the team’s Super Bowl chances. The 11-2 Eagles will move forward with Nick Foles behind center.
