Steelers WR Antonio Brown carried into locker room against Patriots

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is a legitimate MVP candidate and a Sunday showdown with the New England Patriots was supposed to be his biggest stage.

Unfortunately, Brown’s chances of giving his team an enormous leg up in the race for home-field advantage in the AFC and winning the MVP took a shot early against New England. Brown went down with an apparent ankle or lower leg injury in the second quarter and had to be carried off the field and into the locker room by the training staff.

Former San Diego Chargers team doctor and San Diego Union-Tribune injury analyst Dr. David Chao speculated that Brown’s leg appeared to collide with the leg of a defender and that he’s likely getting X-rays to rule out a potentially fractured tibia.

The Steelers haven’t yet announced his official status. Stay tuned to All22.com for further updates.
