Seahawks rookie DL Malik McDowell arrested for disorderly conduct

Malik McDowell’s rookie season hasn’t gone according to plan.

The Seattle Seahawks rookie defensive lineman was arrested Sunday morning for disorderly conduct. McDowell got into an argument at a nightclub right outside of Atlanta, per  A.J. Perez and Tom Schad of USA Today.

McDowell got into a verbal altercation with club employees. According to a police report by the Chamblee Police Department and obtained by USA Today, the Seahawks defensive tackle claimed he had paid for a section at the club and $600 worth of alcohol (two bottles). But club employees and one of McDowell’s friend’s said he had no paid for the section and bottles.

McDowell was asked to leave the club and was eventually allowed to reenter. However, he was removed again after pouring two bottles of alcohol into an ice bucket. That after forced security to forced security to ask him to leave again.

Upon leaving, McDowell continued his altercation with club employees and security. He was then arrested for disorderly conduct.

The Seahawks’ second-round pick has not played this season. He suffered a concussion in an ATV accident in July. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said earlier this year that McDowell would not play this season due to his concussion.

Carroll and the Seahawks are in Jacksonville taking on the Jaguars in Week 14.
